Service and Maintenance of Mass Spectrometers for Health and Human Services

The National Institute of Health (NIH), (OD) intends to award a sole source, firm fixed-price contract to Thermo Electron North America LLC 1400 Northpoint Pkwy Ste 50, West Palm Beach, FL 33407-1976, The North American System Code is 811210 - Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance. The National Institute on Aging (NIA) within the NIH requires a maintenance service contract provided by the original equipment manufacturer to retain warranty and service continuity. The maintenance service contract is for the mass spectrometers and related components. Based on market research, and Government end-users, Thermo Electron North America LLC is the only factory trained and authorized service group in the United States. Justification for Other Than Full and Open Competition available upon request. The Government intends to negotiate with only one (1) source under the authority of FAR 6.103-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency
