the requirement: This requirement is for the contractor to provide television broadcasting service to 345 televisions on the main campus located at 79 Middleville Road, Northport NY and the televisions at each of the CBOC s. The contractor will provide equipment compatible with the current system and where replacement is needed, the equipment will be of the latest technology as required. The contractor shall utilize the existing Cablevision complex infrastructure to provide services and will maintain the existing equipment, cables, wires and accessories to sustain the operability of a high-quality service. Cablevision is the sole provider with legal franchise authority, established infrastructure, and compatible service capabilities for the facility s geographic area. Cablevision owns the exclusive cable network and distribution lines serving this region, and no other vendor can deliver the required cable television services without significant system redesign, construction, and service interruption. Removing and replacing the existing wiring and infrastructure will cause unnecessary service interruption and costs associated with the replacement. All work shall be in accordance with the Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) standards. All services are to be done as per OEM proprietary instructions.
