This is a source sought for a construction requirement to install an Ion Exchange (IX) Resin System and upgrades to the Base Well #4 located at Shaw Air Force Base (AFB), South Carolina. The Contractor shall be responsible for planning, designing, constructing, and managing all activities necessary to achieve the
objectives of the Statement of Work (SOW). The Government will not direct or control the Contractor?s construction means and methods but will evaluate performance based on compliance with the
objectives and acceptance criteria defined herein. The purpose of the SOW is to define the
requirements, performance outcomes, and constraints for the construction effort while allowing Offerors the flexibility to propose effective and innovative design and construction solutions. The Contractor shall develop the detailed technical approach and supporting documentation necessary to meet the
requirements of the SOW.
Background: Well #4 PFAS and PFOA PPT currently exceed the Federal limits of 4 PPT. The 20th Civil Engineer Squadron has already installed an IX resins bed system at Well #3.
