FMU-139D/B Fuze Production Ceiling Increase

This presolicitation notice is being posted to satisfy the requirement of Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) Procedures, Guidance and Information (PGI) 206.302-1. Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Program Office, PMA-201, Patuxent River, Maryland, intends to award a sole source modification of Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract N0001924D0104 to Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation - Defense Systems (NGSC-DS), Rocket Center West Virginia, to increase the existing ceiling for additional domestic FMU-139D/B Fuze and accessory kits, along with the associated technical data. This notice is published for informational purposes only. (THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS). This requirement is anticipated to be procured sole source to NGSC-DS under the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(l), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.103-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency

requirements. This modification is anticipated to be awarded no later than 2nd Quarter of Fiscal Year 2027. NGSC-DS is the only company that has the requisite knowledge, production tooling, facilities and technical data necessary to meet this requirement within the necessary schedule as NGSC-DS is the only vendor with a qualified FMU-139D/B Fuze. In accordance with FAR 6.103-1(c)(2)(ii), award to any other source would result in unacceptable schedule delay in fulfilling the agency's requirement. This contract was awarded
