Description

This Sources Sought (SS) is issued solely for market research purposes to determine potential sources. This notice does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Quotation (RFQ), or Invitation for Bid (IFB) and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue an order or otherwise pay for the information solicited, nor is it a guarantee of a forthcoming solicitation or contract. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement. It is the responsibility of potential quoters to monitor SAM.gov for additional information pertaining to this requirement. Description of Requirement: The contractor shall furnish all equipment, materials, labor, and coordination required for complete installation of each smart meter with Current Transformers (CT) and the removal of the non-functional smart meter and associated CTs. The government shall provide (40) Schneider PowerLogic PM8000 smart meters with meter enclosures to be installed in buildings listed (listing will be provided in solicitation) at Shaw AFB (SAFB). All new meters and the new CTs associated with them shall be installed inside the building’s mechanical room that it serves unless noted otherwise. Mount meters adjacent to or as close as possible to the main power distribution panel. If space is limited, select the closest feasible location within the mechanical room. Installation shall include: Current Transformers (CTs) – split flexible/flexible. (Approved CT Cut Sheet will be provided in solicitation) for types of approved CTs. Contractors may submit other brands of these types as approved equal. Power supply, conduit, wire, etc. required for meter installation and operation Conduit and wiring connecting CTs to meters Mounting hardware and accessories Any incidental materials necessary for complete installation The contractor shall be responsible for demolition and removal of all existing meters, housings, CTs, and associated wiring and related equipment. The existing non-functional meters are installed on transformers outside of the facility, with corresponding CTs located within those transformers. Contractor shall coordinate all outages with the 20th Civil Engineering Squadron project inspector. All work shall be done in strict accordance with (UFC) Unified Facilities Criteria, Unified Facilities Guide Specifications (UFGS), the International Building Code (IBC, National Electrical Code (NEC), National Electrical Safety Code (NESC), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), EPA 402-K-01-001 (2008), South Carolina Department of Environmental Services (SCDES) Shaw Air Force Base Design and Construction Standards, Change 2,
