Contracting Office (NCO) 5 intends to negotiate/award a sole-source contract to Recology Sunset Scavenger for refuse collection in the City of San Francisco. This contract will consist of a base year plus four (4) one-year options. The statutory authority for applying the Simplified Procedures for Commercial Items of RFO 12.201-1 is 41 U.S.C. § 1901 and 1903 and is implemented by FAR 12.102(b) for restricting competition on this procurement. The North American Industry System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 562111 Solid Waste Collection. The (PSC) is S205 Trash/Garbage Collection Services. The Small Business Administration (SBA) size standard for this sector is $19.0 million. This notice of intent is neither a formal solicitation nor a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation document is available, and telephone requests will not be honored. No award will be made on the basis of unsolicited quotations or offers received in response to this notice.
