The purpose of this acquisition is to procure repository services for the Department of Transfusion Medicine. These services include the storage and maintenance of Government-owned freezers which currently includes 10 freezers (2 chest freezers and 8 upright freezers) in a highly maintained environment, into which the Dept. will store, monitor, inventory and retrieve samples. The National Institutes of Health (NIH) intends to award a fixed price purchase order to Precision for Medicine, located at 8425 Precision Way, Frederick, MD 21701, on a firm fixed price sole source award basis for biorepository processing and storage services. Precision for Medicine is a College of American Pathologists (CAP)-certified biorepository providing specimen processing, storage, management, logistics, and distribution of critical research specimens. They provide biospecimen storage and bioprocessing helping in both cost and quality.
