Department of Veterans Affairs Atlanta VA Health Care System Diagnostic Medical Physics Services The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Atlanta VA Health Care System (AVAHCS), intends to award a firm fixed price sole-source contract for Diagnostic Medical Physics Services. This procurement will be made under the authority of FAR 13.106 1(b), which allows for soliciting from a single source when the
contracting officer determines that only one source is reasonably available to meet the agency s
requirements. The VA intends to award to Alliance Medical Physics LLC to provide qualified Board Certified Diagnostic Medical Physicist to perform periodic and annual performance testing, acceptance testing, protocol review, and consultation for diagnostic imaging and radiation emitting equipment at the AVAHCS and associated Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs). These services are required to ensure compliance with Joint Commission, American College of Radiology (ACR) standards, Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA)
requirements, Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) regulations, CRCPD guidelines, and manufacturer specifications.
